The Government has realized rightly that our rural India can offer a lot to the rest of World. The tenth five-year plan Tourism has been notified as one of the major sources for generating employment, eco friendly income source and promoting sustainable livelihoods with green initiative. The government has decided to develop required infrastructure for facilitating rural tourism. The union ministry of Tourism in collaboration with UNDP has launched the Endogenous and attractive Tourism project in the year 2004, concurrent to the existing rural tourism scheme of the government of India. UNDP will help for capacity building of rural youth, involvement of NGOs, local communities and artisans forge strong community with PPP mode i.e. Private and Public sector Partnerships. Till now  Ministry of Tourism Government of India, with the facilitate of State tourism department has identified 31 villages across the country as tourist sites like Raghurajpur in Odisha and providing funding for financial assistance for each project and progress more.  By the gift of Almighty our villages will become very much self sufficient and internally and externally attractive with lots of elements within based on Farming.  Agro Tourism is a multidimensional destination because it has Eco, Cultural, tribal, Farm, Historical seeing the sights within itself. The major challenge for growth of Agro  tourism is to consider conservation of natural resources and environment as well as a proper understanding between the tourist and local people to participate in for common development and progress.
